Banshee owners file plans for new restaurant at MARTA-adjacent development

Owners of a popular East Atlanta restaurant will open their next venture at a new transit-oriented development.

The team behind Banshee will open Bonafide Deluxe within the commercial hub that sits between Spoke and Quill, two multifamily buildings that are nearing completion adjacent to the Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA Station. The Bonafide Deluxe space is on the Edgewood side of the station at 1454 LaFrance Street. It opens out onto a small green space called Edgewood Park.

Signage posted at the space gives passersby an idea of what to expect: “epic sandwiches coming soon.” Dillon Baynes, managing partner of Columbia Ventures LLC, the firm that is developing the project, offered some specifics.

Banshee chef Nolan Wynn “is going to focus on a premium sandwich execution,” Baynes told Atlanta Business Chronicle. Bonafide Deluxe will use custom-baked breads and fillings made with “real” and local ingredients. Wynn intends to put together some “creative combinations.”
